Sinopse

Nakajima Atsushi foi expulso do seu orfanato e agora está desabrigado e sem ter o que comer. Em um dia enquanto ele estava sofrendo de fome ao lado de um rio, ele acaba resgatando um homem de uma tentativa caprichosa de suicídio. Esse homem é Dazai Osamu, e ele e seu parceiro Kunikida são membros de uma agência especial de detetives, que possuem poderes sobrenaturais e trabalham em casos perigosos que a polícia não consegue resolver. Eles estavam atrás de um tigre que tinha aparecido na região recentemente, e esse tigre parece ter alguma conexão com Atsushi.
