Sinopse

A trama segue um guerreiro M?ori assassinado, Waka Nuku Rau (Te Kohe Tuhaka), que é enviado de volta ao mundo dos vivos para se redimir de seus pecados. Mas o mundo em que Waka retorna é devastado por uma brecha entre a Vida e o Pós-Viva, enquanto os espíritos dos recém-mortos agora perseguem a terra e caçam os vivos. Waka encontra uma jovem determinada, Mehe (Darneen Christian), que se torna sua protegida e sua bússola moral. Juntos, eles navegam na política tribal, os fantasmas inquietos dos ancestrais e outras forças, naturais e sobrenaturais, em uma missão para descobrir quem “quebrou o mundo” e como consertá-lo – se não for tarde demais.
